I was able to watch some of the Jimmy Kimmel Eclipse special last night—it was pretty funny and got me excited for the movie next week. While I was watching it I realized that we haven't posted anything about the premiere/red carpet tonight. I know that many of you like watching the red carpet streamed live—we will be watching it at the webmaster household as well.
There are several viewing options (all times are Eastern Daylight Times tonight, June 24, 2010):
E! Online (starts at 8:00pm ET) [Update: I can't find it on their site right now either... I don't know what to tell you.]
MTV.com and Hollywood Crush (starts at 9:30pm ET)
MySpace.com (starts at 8:30pm ET)
AP Live on Livestream / AP Live on Facebook (starts at 8:00pm ET)
OnTheRedCarpet.com (starts at 8:30pm ET)
Good luck to Stephenie and all the actors... that seems like a lot of people to talk to. I hope you enjoy watching the festivities!

And how might you use 3D in either part of Breaking Dawn?

We have considered it, and everything’s being discussed, but I know that part of a way to differentiate the two movies would be to have one be in 2D, and when she becomes a vampire we move into 3D. But we haven’t really gotten far enough to decide what we’re going to do. I’m of two minds of it, frankly, and I think everyone is; I don’t want to chase the format if it’s not organic and appropriate. If we think it is, we will.

Fearnet.com has a new article talking about whether the latest instalment in the Twilight Saga film franchise is more of a horror film then the previous two. It’s interesting and something to read while you count down the days until the Eclipse release! Click here to read the article!

After the star-crossed romance of Twilight and the depression that dominated New Moon, willEclipse finally bring The Twilight Saga into bona fide horror movie territory?

Fame: Lady Gaga and Fame: Robert Pattinson will hit comic shops across the country on June 9. Retailing each for $3.99, also will be available online at Amazon.com.
The comic gives fans of both celebrities a chance to trace their favorite stars' rise from obscurity to fame.

Take Pattinson. Few of the actor's fans today realize that long before he was vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, Pattinson was an unknown stage actor in England. In fact, his first performance came in Tess of the D'Urbervilles at London's Barnes Theater.
Lady Gaga had a similar career path. She got her start singing in bars and nightclubs before becoming an international celebrity.
Writer Kimberly Sherman and artist Nathaniel Ooten brought Pattinson's story to life.
“I love having the ability to introduce high-profile people to readers through an unexpected medium that is both written and visual,” Sherman said. “These biography comics are designed to illustrate interesting tidbits to fans about their favorite figureheads, and inspire them to learn more. I chose to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective, immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous role.”
Fame: Robert Pattinson is part of Bluewater Productions' much-publicized biography line of comic books. Upcoming biographies will Kristen Stewart.
“Each of our biography comics takes a different approach in bringing our stars' stories to life,” said Darren G. Davis, president and founder of Bluewater Productions. “You'll see that in this comic, as writers Kimberly Sherman and Dan Rafter took very different approaches to highlighting the careers of Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson.”

NEW YORK (May 24, 2010) – Giving fans worldwide more of the beloved vampire film franchise they adore and vote tirelessly for each year, MTV today announced that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are confirmed to present an exclusive scene from the highly anticipated summer blockbuster “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” (in theaters June 30, 2010) at the “2010 MTV Movie Awards.” “Twi-Hards” will get a first look at a never-before-seen scene from the next installment of Summit Entertainment’s vampire love story movie phenomenon and the network will send their already heightened excitement into overdrive as a member of “The Twilight Saga” wolf pack hits the red carpet. “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” cast member Chaske Spencer will serve as the official MTV International “2010 MTV Movie Awards” guest red carpet correspondent. Spencer – who stars as werewolf Sam Uley in “The Twilight Saga” – will man the mike on the red carpet as part of a special edition of “MTV At The Movies,” which will bring audiences outside the United States closer to the biggest names in the industry and the most talked about moments as part of MTV’s global coverage of the “2010 MTV Movie Awards.” Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the “2010 MTV Movie Awards” will be broadcast LIVE from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 6 at 9p.m./8p.m.C.
Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner join previously announced superstar presenters Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White, Vanessa Hudgens, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the cast of “The Grown Ups” (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider), Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Aubrey Plaza. After “Twilight” swept the “2009 MTV Movie Awards” with five popcorn awards in the “BEST MOVIE,” “BEST FEMALE PEFORMANCE,” “BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE MALE,” “BEST KISS” AND “BEST FIGHT” categories, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” is nominated in five award categories this year. Devoted “Twilight” fans voted through the roof to have the feature film included in the 2010 list of final nominated theatricals, actors and moments, which puts the mega-movie in a dead heat against the global smash hit “Avatar.” It’s anyone’s and any film’s game as the MTV fans hold the destiny of the golden popcorn awards in their hands. From May 12 – June 5, viewers can visit MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote to make winners of their favorite nominated films, movie moments and actors.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will officially be a Cullen family reunion.
After weeks of reported salary negotiations for some of the supporting cast, Summit Entertainment confirmed to Access Hollywood on Wednesday that the Cullens — Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser and Nikki Reed — are all set to return for the vampire series’ final installment.
Billy Burke, who plays Bella’s father Charlie Swan, will also return.
Prior to the official announcement, Deadline reported on Wednesday that Ashley and Jackson were wrapping up their deals and other members of the Cullen family had already signed on.
The news meant avoiding another casting shake-up for the series, which replaced the villainous Victoria with Bryce Dallas Howard for this summer’s “Eclipse” after Rachelle Lefevre played the role in “Twilight” and “New Moon.”
Breaking Dawn” remains rumored to be potentially split into two films, with Summit’s
Wednesday announcement careful to name it as a “project.” An installment – whether
the blockbuster franchise’s finale or part one of two – is slated for release on November
18, 2011, with third film “Eclipse” arriving this summer on June 30.
(Thanks Access Hollywood)
